General Terms and Conditions – Gron’s Dodgeball
Effective Date: 1 January 2025
These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in all activities organized by Gron’s Dodgeball ("the Organization"). By registering for or participating in any activity, participants acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Article 1 – Participation, Membership, and Use of Materials 1.1 Participation is open to individuals aged 16 years or older. 1.2 By purchasing a one-time pass or membership, participants agree to these Terms and confirm their registration. 1.3 Memberships and participation options are available as follows:
Drop-In Dodger:
Flexible access for newcomers, casual players, or occasional participants.
Valid for 7 days from the date of purchase.
Weekly Warrior:
Participation valid on Saturdays.
Membership is cancellable on a monthly basis following an initial six-month commitment.
Missed sessions cannot be carried over to subsequent months.
Reapplication is only possible after a 3-month waiting period following membership cancellation.
Dodgeball Legend (Coming soon):
Unlimited participation in all weekly sessions.

1.4 Memberships are strictly personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared with or transferred to third parties. 1.5 Participation in activities is entirely at the participant’s own risk. The Organization accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation. 1.6 Participants are expected to treat all equipment and materials with due care. Unauthorized use of equipment outside official sessions is prohibited without the Organization’s prior written consent. 1.7 Missed, canceled, or unused sessions, for any reason, are non-refundable and cannot be carried over to a subsequent month, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing by the Organization.
Article 2 – Health and Safety 2.1 Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit to engage in dodgeball activities. 2.2 Any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or concerns must be disclosed to the Organization prior to participation. 2.3 Participants must adhere to all safety protocols and comply promptly with the instructions of referees, staff, and event organizers. 2.4 Participation while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances is strictly prohibited. Individuals suspected of intoxication may be denied entry or removed from sessions.
Article 3 – Code of Conduct 3.1 Participants must observe the following standards of conduct:
Inclusivity and Respect:
All individuals are welcome, irrespective of background, identity, or experience. Discrimination, exclusion, or harassment is prohibited.
Respectful Behaviour:
Participants must treat fellow players, referees, and staff members with courtesy and fairness. Verbal abuse, intimidation, or unsporting behavior is not tolerated.
Prohibition of Violence:
Physical altercations, threatening behavior, or unsafe conduct will result in immediate suspension and may lead to permanent exclusion.
Fair Play and Honesty:
Participants are expected to self-regulate; if hit, they must exit the game fairly. Dishonesty or unsporting conduct is considered a breach of these Terms.
Safety First:
Dangerous actions, including targeting the head or engaging in reckless play, are strictly forbidden. Any unsafe conditions must be immediately reported to the Organization’s staff.
Community and Support:
Participants are encouraged to support and welcome new players. A positive, fun, and inclusive atmosphere is fundamental to the Organization’s culture.
3.2 Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent exclusion from participation, at the sole discretion of the Organization.
Article 4 – Cancellations and Rescheduling 4.1 Participants must notify the Organization of cancellations at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session to be eligible for rescheduling or a credit. 4.2 The Organization reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule sessions due to weather conditions, venue unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances. 4.3 In the event of Force Majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government-imposed restrictions), the Organization is not liable for any cancellations, alterations, or resulting losses, and is not obligated to provide refunds or compensation.
Article 5 – Media and Privacy 5.1 The Organization may capture photographs or video recordings during activities for promotional purposes. 5.2 Participants who do not wish to appear in media content must inform the Organization in writing prior to the relevant session. 5.3 All personal data will be handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national privacy legislation.
Article 6 – Liability Waiver 6.1 By registering and participating, participants waive any and all claims against the Organization for personal injury, property damage, or other loss incurred during or resulting from participation. 6.2 Participants are strongly encouraged to maintain appropriate personal accident and/or health insurance coverage.
Article 7 – Facility Use 7.1 Participants must respect the premises and facilities used during activities. 7.2 Any damage to venues, facilities, or equipment caused by negligence or misconduct will be the sole financial responsibility of the participant involved.
Article 8 – Governing Law and Dispute Resolution 8.1 These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Netherlands. 8.2 Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.
Article 9 – Acceptance 9.1 By registering for and/or participating in activities organized by Gron’s Dodgeball, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.
Article 10 – Scheduled Closures and Holiday Periods 10.1 No regular sessions will be held during the following scheduled closure periods for the 2025 season:
Christmas Break (Kerstvakantie): 22 December 2025 – 4 January 2026
Spring Break (Voorjaarsvakantie): 17 February 2025 – 23 February 2025
10.2 Summer Closure
A full seasonal closure will take place during the Summer Vacation from 14 July 2025 to 24 August 2025.
10.3 Outdoor Sessions During Closures
During closure periods, outdoor sessions may be organized at the Organization’s discretion, provided weather conditions are favorable and sufficient participants express interest. Information regarding any such sessions will be communicated separately.
